Go Code Girl

We are excited to invite you and your community to Go Code Girl, a national event sponsored by ONWIE and hosted by the School of Applied Computer Science and Information Technology (ACSIT) at Conestoga College. This event is designed to inspire and empower girls and non-binary youth in grades 7-10 to explore careers in computer science and IT through engaging, hands-on workshops and interactive activities.

Event Details:

· Date: Saturday, April 26th, 2025

· Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

· Location: Conestoga College, Waterloo Campus, 108 University Ave E, Waterloo, Ontario

The event includes interactive workshops, such as a hands-on coding session where all attendees will learn the basics of coding and problem-solving, followed by a choice between two exciting tracks: eSports, focusing on game design and strategy, or Virtual Reality (VR), where participants explore immersive technology. Additionally, a Panel Discussion featuring faculty, a current student, alumni, and industry professionals will provide insights into real-world tech careers, challenges, and opportunities.
