Join Spectrum Waterloo Region’s Rainbow Community Space on the ice for a free 2SLGBTQ+ Community Skate! Spectrum has rented the entire Don McLaren Arena thanks to the generosity of the City of Kitchener.

We’re also offering a free 2SLGBTQ+ Learn to Skate session before you get onto the rink (separate tickets at check-out). We will have volunteers available to teach you how to stand on skates and prepare your body for the new movement. We’ll also try to have some Helper Sleds available.

The rink has a capacity of 50 people. We have made more than that many tickets available as we don’t expect everyone to skate for two hours. Please cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend.

Registration is required for the 2SLGBTQ+ Learn to Skate, 2SLGBTQ+ Community Skate, and to come as a Spectator.

Physical activity has risks. Participants that have not been physically active for some time should consult with a Doctor before attending. At a minimum, you should complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone (PAR-Q+) to self-evaluate your readiness to participate in physical activity.
